How the online course works
- Enrol and get access to the learning platform.
- Study the modules at your own pace (most learners take around 12 to 20 hours in total).
- Complete the knowledge quiz. Score 70% or more to pass.
- Download your Care School training certificate.
- Share it with your manager and complete workplace observations for the full Care Certificate.
Who it is for
New care workers and support workers. Healthcare assistants preparing for induction. Agency staff who need consistent knowledge training. People exploring a move into care before they apply. Managers who want a simple knowledge path for new starters, then handle observation themselves.
What this course is not
It is also not the same as an Ofqual-regulated Level 2 or Level 3 diploma in health and social care, and it is not an NVQ. Those are separate regulated routes. We mention them only so you can see the difference.
Next steps with your employer
After you pass, ask your manager who will assess you in the workplace. Take your learning notes or workbook into supervision. Keep a copy of your PDF certificate in your personal training file. The Care Certificate is intended to be portable between employers once it is fully signed off at work.
